"5D4N SEORAKSAN-DAEDUNSAN-NAEJANGSAN TOUR during autumn in Korea is a must !!!"
During this autumn, we have wanted to explore Korea and visit all the beautiful attractions with colorful foliage. Rorne, the Tour Director of World Heritage Network, recommended us to explore 3 main attractions which are the most popular in Korea: Seoraksan National Park, Daedunsan Provincial Park and Naejangsan National Park in a 5D4N tour that provides us an english speaking tour guide, cozy budget hotel accommodation and comfortable private transportation to pick us up from Seoul.
One our first trip, we went to Seoraksan National Park and we had the most wonderful trek at the famous "AVATAR" valley called Cheonbuldong Valley and after hours of trekking, we saw beautiful and colorful foliage lining along a walkway. It was like an enchanted garden in a fantasy world. Quite like the scenes you see in the movie "AVATAR" with blue as the background and many other autumn colors of the leaves blending together at the side. It was a fantastic scenery out of the world.
Then the next trip was to Daedunsan Provincial Park. This park was a bit of a challenge as it involves walking along a suspended bridge called Geumgang Gureum Bridge hanging precariously between two mountains and the see through holes at the bridge's metal floor was scary as the bridge is suspended very high in between these mountains. After walking through this scary bridge we thought our horror was over until we reached the Samseon Stairway which is 50m long with 127 steps up to the top of the mountain. The bridge is quite narrow and can only fit one person in a space. Climbing up this bridge is a challenge. You feel like you are walking in the sky as you ascend to the top. Our legs were shaky halfway to the top. It was an incredible adventure not to mention the fantastic view from the top looking over all the beautiful and colorful foliage of Daedunsan mountains.
Then come our last attraction which is the finale of the trip and the most interesting of all, the Naejangsan National Park. Walking along a 2KM road surrounded by beautiful autumn leaves was so surreal. It is the most beautiful site I have ever seen and according to our guide, Naejangsan National Park is the most colorful national park during autumn season in Korea. We took the cable car up to the top of the mountain and then trekked down to explore Naejangsa Temple. It was a very beautiful site. The colorful foliage that surround this temple is remarkable and mesmerising.
On the way back to hotel after the tour, we felt a sense of nostalgia and start to miss all these beautiful sites that we finally had the opportunity to explore in our lives. I believe it was our best autumn tour that we ever had in any country and what more can you ask for when you have the chance to visit 3 major tourist attractions at one go and they are also Korea's most popular autumn attractions not just locally but internationally. I like to thank Rorne Tan, the Director of Tour of World Heritage Network for arranging such an amazing autumn tour for us in Korea. It was a fantasy tour with beautiful memories where we will not forget for the rest of our lives. Many thanks again!

"IMPRESSIVE JAGGED RIDGES & ROCK FACES AT DAEDUNSAN PROVINCIAL PARK!!!"
In November 2017, I was able to meet up with Jeff , our guide from World Heritage Network in Daejeon. In the early morning, Jeff fetched us to Daedunsan Provincial Park. I was immediately struck by the impressively jagged ridges and rock faces.
After a quick breakfast, we passed by the gondola ride up the mountain and took the hiking trail that lead to the same point. We reached the top of the gondola, which was home to many birds who had learned to eat out of tourist's hands. Feed was for sale in the building where the gondola unloaded. At last we reached the suspension bridge called Geumgang Gureum Bridge. The fact that one could see right through it didn't deter me, but some of our party were a bit hesitant. The next artificial bit of trail was a bit more inclined than the bridge. The steel stairs of the Samseon Bridg as they called it weren't nearly as treacherous as the stone ones, however. This was the only part of the hike that actually seemed unsafe to me. Despite the see-through suspension bridges, our path was not the most terrifying way to get up the mountain. We continued hiking and reached the 878m high summit of Daedun Mountain at Chilseongbong Peak. The hike back down was great. We had a great time with help of our guide, Jeff, as he was professional and friendly. If you ever wish to visit Daedunsan Provincial Park, I highly recommend getting a private tour from World Heritage Network as I heard to get a public transport to this park is a hassle for foreign tourist.

"OUR GREAT TREKKING ADVENTURE !"
By the end of last month, I visited Daedun Mountain. To enjoy the good weather and breath-taking view, especially for the fall foliage from a high spot! I engaged the services of  World Heritage Network and a guide named Saul was assigned to us with private transportation. We departed from Sincheon Station around at 7.10 AM, and arrived at the parking lot of Daedun Mountain before 11 AM. We were scheduled to ride the cable car around 11, but because of the crowd, we got the ticket for 12.25 PM. Therefore, Saul changed our plan and asked us to have our lunch earlier.
At 12.25 PM, we boarded the cable car, and arrived 5 minutes later. We started our trekking in Daedun mountain. The fall foliage is as good as in the advertisement picture and the view from above there was amazing. Saul guided us to famous Geumgang Gureum Bridge (suspension bridge). Maybe because it was built in a very high place. It was so cool. So many people passed by it at one time. Everyone took a picture while passing it. It was a bit shaky. We continued our trekking, and finally arrived Samseon Overpass Bridge (50m long with 127 steps). The line-up was so long. Because only one person can pass it at one time (no surpassing), and everyone took a picture while passing, we spent quite long to pass those stairs. The view at the top of the stairs was rather beautiful. You can see wonderful foliage color over the suspension bridge at the bottom. After exploring the top, we went back to line up for the cable car. We have to wait for more than 90 minutes to ride the cable car down. It's longer than our trekking time. Then, Saul recommneded us to go down by foot, instead of waiting for the cable car, that it took only 40 minutes, and we could enjoy the fall foliage on our way down. So that's what we did. It was tiring but the view was spectacular. Saul was very friendly and caring. Taking care of our needs all the time. We were so glad that he has car and can drive us back to Seoul. I saw many tourists who came by express bus was stranded at the bus stop at the bottom of the mountain. According to Saul, due to the peak season, there are not many buses available to fetch all the tourists during peak hour. So we were very glad to have engaged a private tour from World Heritage Network. It was a very well organised tour with guidance from a very professional guide. Highly recommended.
